If moisture is present, we address it first — through interior drainage systems, sump pump installation or upgrade, exterior waterproofing where accessible, and vapor barrier systems. Finishing over a wet basement without proper remediation results in mold, damaged framing, and destroyed materials within years. We will never recommend skipping this step to save money.
